Hermon is blessed to have two pastors serving our congregation!
Rev. Everhart earned a B.A. from Calvin College and a Masters of Divinity from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. Since coming to the Washington area in 2000, Rev. Everhart has served in various positions at Vienna Presbyterian, Poolesville Presbyterian and Western Presbyterian. In 2016 she completed her second book, "Ruined" which is an emotional and spiritual journey that begins with an unspeakable act of violence but ends with tremendous healing and profound spiritual insights about faith, forgiveness and the will of God. Rev. Everhart's first book, "Chasing the Divine" is about her journeys in Israel and Palestine and how that experience transformed her Christian understanding.
Rev. Rhodes Hunter currently serves as a chaplain with Montgomery Hospice, as a parish associate at New York Avenue Presbyterian, and as a Sexual Assault Response Advocate through Doorways for Women and Families. Emily holds both a Masters of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary and a Masters of Science in Patient Counseling through VCU. She earned her B.A. in English literature from Sewanee The University of the South, where she also played NCAA basketball and softball.
