A bit about Reverend Ruth Everhart...

Hermon is pleased to welcome Reverend Ruth Everhart!  Rev. Everhart earned a B.A. from Calvin College and a Masters of Divinity from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities.  Since coming to the Washington area in 2000, Rev. Everhart has served as an associate pastor at Vienna Presbyterian, pastor at Poolesville Presbyterian for over 10 years, and worship leader for Western Presbyterian.  She recently completed her second book, "Ruined" which is an emotional and spiritual journey that begins with an unspeakable act of violence but ends with tremendous healing and profound spiritual insights about faith, forgiveness and the will of God.  Rev. Everhart's first book, "Chasing the Divine" is about her journeys in Israel and Palestine and how that experience transformed her Christian understanding.
